Hi,
1/ In the SFX version of the effect, the settings of 64nt and 128nt give value of 0. I guess it’s a list bug?
You’re right, there’s a problem. In fact, I can’t calculate the delay time for these choices, so I’m removing them for the next version.
2/ In the SFX version, it seems that control commands are fairly limited? Can’t seem to control individual output volumes as it is in LFX version. Also, It would be cool to have pitches there to drive them through LFOs.
Ok, I have added a TrackVolume macro message and I replaced the Pitch_1/Pitch_7 messages by a global TrackPitch macro message.
I have also added track volume midi controlers.
3/ I’m not sure if it’s a DelayPitch bug or something related to general mixer, but it seems that even if I have only 8 channels configured, it does not output from 8 to 1, but 10 to 3.
That was the legacy way of routing… I fixed this by adding an offset setting like in Granular and Granulaterre.
Loosely related to this – I actually had a pretty nasty thing that happened to me: in my inputs there was a send to trk9 and trk 10, and receives in there. Then, in my audio settings, I trimmed the number of tracks down to 8. After recalling some presets that remembered something on channels 9/10, it seems that these channels and their sends/receives were actually active, even if hidden. Which caused a pretty heavy feedback, that took me a while to figure out where it’s coming from. Luckily not on the show 😉
Yes, that’s truly a very bad thing !
It’s recorded and I will do my best to fix this.
4/ It seems that the delay of how individual voices are triggered is somehow arbitrary and mimics an organic arpeggio? They don’t seem to be regular, uniform values. I think it’s pretty cool, and would be great to have presets for this or ability to set individual delays.
The delay of the n track is the (delay value * n). But, yes, we can imagine a specific delay for each track…
While I am on delay Pitch, I add a Clear button to erase all delays by a click…
Wonderful effect that I discovered quite late.
Yes, not exactly easy to tame, but perfect for spatializing pitches…
Thank you very much !
